WooCommerce Migration

KEEP THE CHANNELS THAT WORK

Bring your business to WooCommerce.

Move the right parts of your business from Etsy, Gumroad or Shopify into an ecommerce channel you own. We assess your catalog, rebuild your storefront and transfer agreed content and data—with clear limits, testing and a launch plan.

Two routes. One practical plan.

Add an owned channel: Keep Etsy or another working channel and bring selected products into WooCommerce. Ongoing synchronization is separately scoped.

Replace an existing store: Rebuild your store on WooCommerce with agreed data transfer, URL mapping where you control the domain, and a planned cutover.

What changes by platform

  • Etsy: Selected active listings, descriptions, images and SKUs. Variations and digital delivery need additional mapping. A catalog import does not automatically synchronize orders or inventory.
  • Gumroad: Digital product pages, client-supplied files and new-purchase delivery. Historical buyer access, memberships and license systems require separate assessment. Review the change in tax and payment responsibilities before leaving a merchant-of-record service.
  • Shopify: Supported products and variations, pages, navigation and owned-domain URL mapping. Themes and apps are rebuilt or replaced; historical customers and orders are separate datasets.

Standard starting scope

  • One source store and one new WooCommerce store.
  • Up to 20 parent products and 100 sellable SKUs, whichever limit is reached first; file volume and complexity agreed before quoting.
  • Five core content pages plus standard commerce templates; existing client-approved copy, images and files.
  • One supported payment gateway and standard digital delivery or an agreed simple shipping setup.
  • Existing metadata mapping and up to 30 redirects where you control the old URLs.
  • Representative sample import, full agreed import and one final update pass.
  • Agreed cutover, backup/rollback plan, purchase-flow checks and one training session.
  • 14 days of corrections for defects in the agreed implementation after handover.

Separately scoped

Historical orders and customer accounts; previous buyers’ download access; reviews, coupons and gift cards; subscriptions and memberships; large catalogs; custom apps; multiple languages/currencies; extensive copywriting; POD product mapping; ongoing marketplace synchronization. Third-party licenses, hosting, provider fees and applicable taxes are separate.

For example, one T-shirt with five sizes and four colors has 20 variations. We count the actual work, not just the number of product pages.

How the migration works

  • Assess: Inventory products, data, files, integrations and URLs. Define what transfers, what is rebuilt and what stays at the source.
  • Agree: Approve a written scope, exceptions, timeline, price and payment milestones.
  • Rehearse: Test representative data before the full import.
  • Build and transfer: Rebuild the storefront and configure the agreed buying and delivery paths.
  • Verify and launch: Reconcile data, test payments/delivery and redirects, obtain approval, then follow the cutover plan.

Migration questions

Will everything transfer?

No. We provide a transfer/rebuild/exclude list before quoting. Passwords, saved cards, recurring billing and proprietary app data are not standard inclusions.

Can I keep Etsy running?

Yes. Adding WooCommerce alongside Etsy is a supported route. Ongoing stock and order synchronization belongs to our Multichannel & POD service and needs compatibility checks.

Will existing download customers retain access?

Only where explicitly included and tested. New-product delivery and historical purchase entitlements are different tasks.

Can you guarantee no downtime or ranking changes?

No. We reduce risk through backups, testing, controlled cutover and redirects where possible. We cannot redirect Etsy-owned listing URLs or guarantee search rankings.

Prepare before your assessment
